PETROLEUM ACTS
During the year 64 licences were issued covering the following:-
193,369 gallons petroleum
1,941 „ „ mixtures
2,800 lbs. carbide of calcium.
MEASUREMENT OF ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTION
The Council maintain two daily volumetric filters deployed to the requirements of
the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, and are contributing to the National
Survey of Air Pollution being undertaken simultaneously by approximately one hundred
selected local authorities.
