Water Supply.
The whole of the district is supplied by the Colne Valley Water
Company, with the exception of the following:
Cottages in Field End Road, South Ruislip 4
Cottage, Rayson's Hill, Eastcote 1
Total 5
Drainage and Sewerage.
The whole of the soil sewers in the Council's area discharge into the
sewers of the West Middlesex Drainage Scheme.
Collection and Disposal of House Refuse.
Controlled tipping on the Council's Refuse Dump off Field End
Road, Eastcote, is still in progress and is proving a very satisfactory
method of disposal.
The weekly collection of refuse is carried out by six Karrier
motor dust vans.
Trade Refuse.
Regulations for the collection of Trade Refuse in the district
by the Council are briefly summarized as follows:
1. Council will collect and dispose of trade refuse from shops and
business premises with the exception of offal.
2. Where house and shop are jointly occupied one bin per week
will be collected free.
3. Schedule of charges:
Each dust bin 6d. per week.
Per load 7 /6
Per half load 4/-
Schools.
All the Schools in the Urban District are under the management
of the Middlesex County Council.
