Speech Therapy
During the year 117 new cases were referred for Speech
Therapy and 2,661 attendances were made for treatment. At the
end of the year 199 children were under treatment at the Speech
Clinics.
Dental Services
The staffing position at Dental Clinics was maintained throughout
the year and 11,541 dental inspections were carried out. All
children found to be dentally unfit were offered treatment at one of
the authority's dental clinics and 7,868 attendances were made for
treatment.
Statistics relating to the School Dental Service are shown in the
table at the end of this report.
SPECIALIST SERVICES
In co-operation with the Regional Hospital Board the Orthopaedic
and Ophthalmic Clinic sessions were continued at the Harold
Hill Health Centre and Marks Road Clinic.
