(xi) Harold Hill Health Centre
The Harold Hill Health Centre has now got over the period of
initial difficulties. It was anticipated that a new venture of this nature
would have some difficulties, but, I am glad to say that they have all
been minor in character.
The Local Authority section has, for another year, continued to
provide services for Maternal and Child care, and for the care of the
health of the school child.
A Dental Officer is in daily attendance for looking after the dental
requirements of school children, and those of the other priority classes
viz., nursing and expectant mothers, and children under 5 years of age.
The Dental Officer, appointed by the Executive Council for General
Dental Services, is also in daily attendance.
So far as the General Medical Practitioners) section is concerned,
the four suites are allocated on the same basis as before. The nursing
staff, and clerical assistance for this wing are provided by the Local
Health Authority, and meet the requirements of the practitioners.
