(iv) Ante-natal, and Post-natal Clinics
Three Ante-natal sessions are held each week, and three Post-natal
sessions are held per month. When necessary, use has again been made
of the Consultative Clinic at Oldchurch Hospital.
During the year 408 individual expectant mothers attended the
Ante-natal Clinics, of which 152 sessions were held. The total number
of attendances of the Ante-natal mothers was 1,883, giving an average
of 4.6 attendances per patient. The average number attending at each
session was 12.4. Thirty-one Post-natal sessions were held, and 184
attendances were recorded. The average number attending at each
session was 5.9.
(v) Child Welfare Clinics
Twelve Child Welfare sessions are held each week.
Altogether, there were 610 sessions, and the following table gives
a summary of the attendances.

(vi) Health Visitors
At the end of the year, there were 16 Health Visitors. All of them
also acted as School Nurses.
Table 7 relates to Home Visits paid by the Health Visitors in
connection with their duties under Maternal and Child Welfare.

(vii) Inspection of Nursing Homes
The Nursing Home at No. 68, Heath Park Road discontinued on
3rd june.
The other three Homes were inspected, as a routine, on four
occasions throughout the year, when conditions were found to be
satisfactory.
