(iv) Ante-natal, and Post-natal Clinics.
There are now 6 Ante-natal sessions held each week.
Two Post-natal sessions are held per month. Mothers continue
to be referred as, and when, necessary to the Consultative Clinic
at Oldchurch Hospital.
During the year, 957 individual expectant mothers attended
the ante-natal clinics. In addition, 44 mothers attended for postnatal
advice.
In all, '283 ante-natal sessions were held. The total number
of attendances of the 957 ante-natal mothers, mentioned above, was
3,715, giving an average of 3.9 attendances per patient. The
average number attending at each session was 13.1. Twenty-one
post-natal sessions were held, and 32'2 attendances were recorded.
The average number attending at each session was 15.3.
(v) Child Welfare Clinics.
There are now 12 child welfare sessions held each week, an
additional session having been commenced during the month of
June, to meet the needs of the residents on the Harold Hill Estate.
Altogether 589 sessions were held, and the following table
eives a summarv of the attendances:—

(vi) Health Visitors.
At the end of the year there were 9 Health Visitors on the staff.
There is still a great scarcity of Health Visitors throughout the
County and, in fact, throughout the Country, but the scheme of
training in operation in the County does enable us, periodically, to
obtain new members.
Table 7 relates to Home Visits paid by the Health Visitors during the year.
