6.—SUPPLEMENTARY.
(i) The National Health Service Act, 1946.
A considerable amount of time and thought was given to the
preparation of statistics and information required by the County
Medical Officer to enable him to formulate a scheme to submit to
the County Council for bringing into operation on the appointed
day the requirements of the relative sections of the National Health
Service Act, 1946. These sections deal with Vaccination and Immunisation,
Ambulances, the Care of Mothers and Young Children,
Midwives, Home Nursing, the Prevention of Ilhjess, Care and
After-Care, Domestic Helps, and Mental Health.
