At the July meeting of the Air Raid Precautions Committee,
I submitted a Scheme outlining the Casualty Services required for
this Area. This embraced First Aid Parties, Ambulance Services,
First Aid and Decontamination Posts, Hospitals, Launderies, and
Records.
During the Crisis, in September, I based my Emergency plans
on the Scheme already submitted, and purchased a stock of equipment.
The greatest difficulty at that time was the finding of sufficient
trained personnel, but other difficulties also presented themselves.
Since then, steady progress has been made in the preparation
of the General Scheme, and in the training of personnel, both in
Anti-Gas measures, and First Aid.
