Food Poisoning
No cases of food poisoning were notified.
Scarlet Fever
There were 29 cases of scarlet fever notified as against 34 in 1961, and
4 were removed to hospital.
The disease generally was of a mild type and there were no " return"
cases. No deaths were recorded.
Sonne Dysentery
There were 4 cases of Sonne Dysentery notified during 1961.
Measles
A total of 440 cases was notified during the year compared with 129
the previous year. There were no deaths.
Whooping Cough
Cases were notified throughout the year and totalled 8, compared with 34
cases the previous year. There were no deaths.
The following table gives the number of children in the district who received
primary injections against whooping cough during the year ended 31st
December, 1961:—
