Fortnightly sessions for the routine medical inspections of
the children were commenced on the 18th May, 1943,
Maternity Hospital.
During the year 113 Penge cases were admitted to the Penge and
Beckenham Joint Maternity Hospital, Stone Park Avenue, Beckenham.

The average period spent in the home during the year by each
patient was 13.6 days.
Maternity cases sent to the County Hospital, Farnborough, Kent,
through' the Council's Ante-Natal Clinic totalled 39 and 12 patients
were evacuated under the London County Council's scheme for
Expectant Mothers.
