HOSPITALS.
Arrangements were made early in 1942 for the treatment of
cases of Typhus Fever in the Croydon Borough Isolation Hospital.
Cases admitted to the County Hospital, Farnborough, Kent, from
this district numbered 410 compared with 456 during the year 1940.
Maternity Home.
During the year 79 Penge cases were admitted to the Penge and
Beckenham Joint Maternity Home, Stone Park Avenue, Beckenham.

The average period spent in the home during the year by each
patient was 14 days.
Health Visiting.
One Health Visitor and a part-time nurse wore employed and the
following shows the number of visits paid:-
