GENERAL PROVISION OF HEALTH SERVICES FOR THE AREA..
Ambulance Facilities.
During the year the Council's motor ambulance responded to
620 calls; 307 for private removals and 313 for accidents and
sudden illness.
There is a co-ordination scheme between the ambulance
services of Penge, Beckenham and Bromley, which works satisfactorily.
Maternity and Child Welfare Centre._
The Maternity and Child Welfare Centre was held, as before,
at the Council's School Clinic, 17, Oakfield Road, on Tuesday,
Wednesday and Friday afternoons, and the Ante-Natal and PostNatal
Clinic on Y/ednesday mornings.
