which is culverted.

There are no rivers in the district. There is a stream
forming part of the boundary between Penge and Beckenham,
the whole of which is now culverted, the work being completed
during the year.

The whole of the premises—approximately 6,085—in the
area, are provided with water-closets connected to the main
drainage system.
Public Cleansing.
The house refuse is collected throughout the district by
a Contractor once every week.
The refuse is removed in closed vehicles by the Contractor
to a controlled shoot situated in another district.
The total cost of collection, removal and disposal of house
refuse during the year amounted to £5,975.
There are no cesspools within the District.
