Puerperal Pyrexia.
Two cases were notified whilst inmates of London
hospitals, and made satisfactory recoveries. An arrangement
exists with a local nurse for the home nursing of cases when
required.
Non-Notifiable Diseases.
The following cases were notified to me from the local
Elementary Schools:—Mumps, 9; Whooping Cough, 20;
Chicken-pox, 35; and Adenitis, 1.
Disinfection.
In addition to the usual disinfection of rooms, bedding and
clothing after cases of Scarlet Fever, Diphtheria, etc., disinfection
has been carried out at 32 premises after cases of
Tuberculosis and 15 of Cancer.
Where vermin are discovered, disinfection of rooms and
if necessary, bedding and clothing is carried out. This was
done in 67 cases.
