Meat.
Most of the meat sold in the district is obtained from the
London Meat Market.
Visits are paid to meat purveyors' premises from time to
time, and attention drawn to the requirements of the Public
Health (Meat) Regulations.
Four intimation notices were served requiring defects
in butchers' premises to be remedied. The notices were
complied with.
Slaughterhouses.
Registered 2
These have been regularly limewashed and inspected.
The total number of visits to the slaughterhouses was 325.

The number of animals slaughtered in the district during the year is as follows:—

With the exception of a few sheep all the carcases were
