and Handyman, Cook and two Kitchenmaids.
The average period spent in the Home by each patient
was 16-8 davs.
Accommodation available—14 beds.
Patients can be attended at the Home by their own
doctor if they wish.
The expenses of the Home are allocated as between the
two Districts, as follows: Capital expenditure and the cost
of maintenance of the staff are allocated in proportion to the
rateable value of the Districts; this works out at
approximately three-fifths for Beckenham and two-fifths for
Penge. The cost of maintenance of patients is borne by
the District in which the patient resides.

Children.
There is no Hospital provided in the District.
Patients are usually sent to the following Hospitals:
The South-Eastern Hospital for Children, Sydenham;
The Evelina Hospital for Children, London, S.E.; and
The Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street,
London.
