PROSECUTIONS.
No prosecutions have taken place during the year,
and in only two cases has it been necessary to appeal to
Magistrates, and these were for authority to enter premises
under Sec. 41 of the Public Health Act, 1875, and for an
order to condemn unsound food.
DRAINAGE PLANS.
Much inconvenience and loss of time have been
experienced in having to go to the Lewisham Town Hall
to obtain the plans of drains deposited in accordance with
the Metropolis Management Act, 1855, but I am pleased to
report that the plans relating to Penge are being severed
from those relating to Lewisham, and at an early date
we shall be in possession of these plans.
WORK ACCOMPLISHED.
The table referring to this shows that a large amount
of work has been accomplished. During the past year
6,320 feet of glazed stoneware pipes have been laid in lieu
of broken and defective drains; 72 houses have been provided
with new drains; 102 forecourts have been paved,
much to the comfort of the tenants.
