food HYGIENE (GENERAL) REGULATION 1960
There were no prosecutions under the above Regulations during 1964.
A total of 769 inspections were made by the District Inspectors at the
various food premises in the district, as a result of which thirty-eight
informal notices were served on the proprietors requiring them to remedy the
contraventions found.
FOOD COMPLAINTS
Sixty-four complaints of unsound condition and/or contamination of
foodstuffs were received from the public during the year, as under. Y.here the
condition of the food could not be determined by visual examination, the article
was sent to the Council's Analyst. In each case it was possible to give a
satisfactory explanation to the complainant.
