(e)Tuberculin Tested Milk | Adulterated-Fat 2.7% SnF. 8.65% | The deficiency in milk fat in these cases (all from one farmer) was thought almost certainly to be due to poor feeding and an improvement in this direction resulted in satisfactory reports on follow-up samples. |
(f) Tuberculin Tested Milk | Deficient 10% minimum amount of fat. Inferior— Fat 2.75%. SnF. 8.85%. Deficient 8.3% minimum amount of fat. | |
(g) Tuberculin Tested Milk | Adulterated— Fat 2.65%. SnF. 8.75%. Deficient 11.7% minimum amount of fat. | |
(h) Orange Drink | Inferior—The foreign matter consisted of mould spores. | This contamination arose through an improperly washed bottle where mould spores had fed upon the small amount of sediment left in the bottom of the bottle. The mould spores had been killed by the Company's sterilisation process. Nevertheless, a strict warning was issued to the Company concerned. |
(i) Quinine, Ammoniated Tincture | Inferior—Quinine 1.73%; Ammonia 0.70%. A slight deficiency of Ammonia. | The Pharmacist was asked to remove the remain der of his stock from sale. |
(j) Quinine Ammoniated Tincture | Inferior—Quinine 1.7%; Ammonia 0.65%. B.P.C. limits 0.85%-1.05%. Cork in bottle shrunk; probably old stock. | |
(k) Toffees | Inferior—Contained some black particles varying in size from very small down to microscopic. Probably consisted of charred sugar and therefore not harmful. | No action taken. |
