In the case of disinfections, bedding and certain other articles are
steam treated with a pressure of 201bs. per square inch. Rooms and
furniture are treated with Formalin vapour and, if necessary, liquid
spray.
Disinfestation. Rooms and furniture are sprayed with a proprietary
brand of insecticide containing 5 per cent. D.D.T,
NATIONAL ASSISTANCE ACT, 1948.
Section 47.
Several possible cases were investigated during the year, but in no
instance was it necessary to apply to the court for an order for compulsory
removal.
Section 50.
It was not necessary for the Council to take any action under this
section of the Act during the year 1954.
SERVICES RENDERED BY THE HOSPITAL BOARDS.
(a) Farnborough Hospital. General hospital service with provision
for 800 beds.
