MEAT INSPECTION.
During the year 16 pigs (14 slaughtered under licence from the
Food Office and 2 emergency slaughters) were examined during the
year, and found to be fit for human consumption.
FOOD AND DRUGS ACT, ,1938.
The powers under the Food and Drugs Act, 1938, are under the
control of the Council, and during the year 230 samples were taken
(17 Formal and 213 Informal).
One Formal and five Informal samples were reported as being
not genuine.
