The Maternity and Child Welfare work in this District is
carried out by the Kent County Council.
The following Clinics and Centres have been established

NURSING FACILITIES.
No change has been made with regard to the nursing facilities
for the District.
MATERNITY AND NURSING HOMES.
The powers under the Public Health Act, 1936, relating to
Nursing and Maternity Homes have been delegated by the
County Council to the District Council.
There is one registered Home within the District, the number
of beds available being seven for maternity cases and one
for other cases.
