The bacteriological work in connection with this District is carried out at the County Laboratory, Maidstone, and during the year the Eollowing number of specimens from this District have been examined there.

DRAINAGE.
The houses in the main portion of. the District are on the water
carriage system, and most of the houses are connected to the public
sewer.
Work in connection with the extension of the sewer to Knockholt
is in progress.
