MILK (SPECIAL DESIGNATIONS ORDER), 1936.
During the year the Council granted the following
number of licences under the above Order: —
Tuberculin Tested 5
Pasteurised 10
Accredited 1
MILK SUPPLY.
During the year 60 samples of graded milk and 7
samples of mixed milk were submitted for examination, of
which 46 were satisfactory and 21 were unsatisfactory.
In addition, a number of samples were taken under the
Sale of Food and Drugs Act.
SHOPS AND OFFICES.
During the year 133 inspections were made, and on no
occasion was it found necessary to take action.
FOOD AND DRUGS ACT, 1938.
The powers under the Food and Drugs Act, 1938, are
under the control of the Council, and during the year 238
samples were taken (58 Formal and 180 Informal) and submitted
to the Analyst for examination.
One Formal and one Informal samples were reported as
being; not genuine.
