SWIMMING BATHS AND POOLS.
There is one public swimming pool and one privately
owned swimming bath in the District.
Inspections were made during the year, and 110 action
was found necessary.
CAMPING SITES.
No licences for Camping Sites were issued during the year.
SMOKE ABATEMENT.
No action was found necessary to be taken with regard to
nuisances from smoke.
ERADICATION OF BED BUGS.
Council Houses.—Eighteen Council houses were disinfested
during the year. Strict supervision is exercised in
regard to possible infestations, and advice given when
necessary. In all cases where infestation is found the
necessary action is taken by the Council to exterminate the
vermin.
Other Houses.—Four other houses were disinfested during
the year. "When infestation is brought to the Council's
notice the premises are inspected and advice and assistance
given to the occupiers.
Zaldecide insecticide is used in connection with disinfestations.
