The bacteriological work in connection with this District is carried out at the County Laboratory, Maidstone, and during the year the following number of examinations have been carried out :

DRAINAGE.
The houses in the main portion of the District are on the
water carriage system, and most of the houses are connected to
the public sewers.
No extensions to the sewers were made during the year.
