WATER SUPPLY.
The greater part of the District is supplied by the mains of
the Metropolitan Water Board.
Four samples of the piped supply are examined bacteriologically
each month, and the results in each case showed that
B.Coli were absent in 100 c.c., and that they were good waters.
Three samples of rainwater stored for domestic purposes
were submitted for chemical analysis, of which two were found
to be unsatisfactory. The necessary action was taken in each
case.
PUBLIC CLEANSING.
The collection of house refuse throughout the District is
carried out by direct labour, the greater part of the area having
a weekly collection.
The refuse is disposed of on the Bradford system.
