ISOLATION HOSPITAL.
This District is served by the West Kent Joint Isolation
Hospital.
The Hospital, which is situated at Bromley Common, is
administered by the West Kent Joint Hospital Board, and in
addition to this District, serves the Boroughs of Bromley and
Beckenham, and the Urban District of Chislehurst and Sidcup.
In addition to the accommodation provided for the treatment
of the ordinary Infectious Diseases, provision has been
made for the treatment of cases of Small Pox, on a separate
site.
During- the year 106 cases from this District were admitted
to the Hospital, viz.:—
Scarlet Fever 56
Diphtheria 47
Paratyphoid Fever 2
Cerebro-spinal Fever 1
LABORATORY WORK.
The bacteriological work in connection with this District
is carried out at the Kent County Laboratory at Maidstone.
