HEALTH EDUCATION
The talks on Foot Health to children of school leaving age commenced in 1963 were
continued. These were augmented by film strips, plaster casts (taken from patients
attending the Council's Clinics) and exhibition of suitable footwear for teenagers. In
some cases at the request of the Head Teacher, the talks were repeated for the younger
classes at one of the Secondary Modern Schools for Girls. That the pupils found these
interesting was evident from the number and variety of intelligent questions asked.
The smallest group numbered about fifty and the largest (County High School for Girls)
over two hundred.
