(c) Hygiene Inspection in Schools
The Nursing Staff carried out 15,639 inspections during the year, and 17 cases of
infestation were found.
The present arrangements for the carrying out of cleanliness inspections in schools
remains the same as reported in the last two years and the percentage incidence of
infestation remains much the same at 0.22%, but although this over all annual figure
remains fairly consistent there were, during 1962, one or two minor 'outbreaks' which
have indicated the need for continued and systematic surveillance in schools.
