PERSONAL HEALTH SERVICES
(LEYTON HEALTH AREA SUB-COMMITTEE)
SECTION 21 - HEALTH CLINICS
The Sub-Committee have no health centres as such, however, there are three excellent
combined treatment centres at Dawlish Road (1951), Granleigh Road (1935) and LeytonGreen
Road (1933)
During the year a new reception centre has been erected in the waiting hall at
Leyton Green Clinic thus releasing a room for an extension of the chiropody service.
The new reception opened in January i960, and many tributes have been paid to the
greatly improved direction and control of the public using the clinic.
Late in the year work was started in the new extension to Granleigh Road Clinic.
At the time of writing this is almost completed and ready for occupation™ This will undoubtedly
constitute improved facilities both for the public and the staff. This clinic,
in accordance with the new policy was completely redecorated during the year. Contemporary
decorative schemes were used and in general they have been well received.
