Tuberculosis, with Special Reference to Housing.
As it is impossible to appreciate the importance of housing
in the control of tuberculosis without some idea of how infection is
spread, I submit some preliminary facts regarding the disease and
the germ that causes it.
The Disease.
The disease known as tuberculosis is due to the invasion of
human tissues and organs by a germ called the tubercle bacillus
(" T.B.").
