From examinations of large numbers of school children I have
found approximately only 17 per cent, who require the services of
an oral hygienist; and I therefore consider that the main scope for
her activity lies in the educational field—group instruction for
children of 12 years and over, but individual talks to younger
children. This activity we hope to extend during the coming year.
From time to time Miss Watts arranges small exhibits of
posters, models and literature in the dental waiting room, and these
give rise to many questions to the dental staff.
