Health Authority Immunisation Clinics would be held at the
Council's Health Centres in this Borough, and that no fees would
be paid by the County Council in respect of the immunisation of
pre-school and school children by local general medical practitioners
in connection with the County Health Authority's arrangements
under the provisions of Section 26 of the National Health Service
Act, 1946. Only four more cases were notified after the end of
August.
The following list gives in tabular form the relevant information
regarding the 1950 cases. Fortunately there has been no fatality,
nor has there been any case of respiratory paralysis requiring
treatment in an 'iron lung'. None of the cases could be described
as of great severity; whereas the majority are mild, and three
have no paralysis of any kind.
