HANDICAPPED PUPILS.
Medical Examinations.
During the year, some 129 children were referred for special
medical examination.
As the result of examination these 129 children were classified
as follows :—
Educationally sub-normal 18
Unfit for education within the school system 10
Maladjusted 3
Physically handicapped 15
Deaf 1
Partially deaf 4
Delicate 78

In addition to the above, 30 children were examined because
of difficulties at home or school, and were ascertained as set out
below :
Behaviour problems 10
Dull and backward 11
Backward only 4
Notified for supervision 5

Several of these children are being referred to the Child
Guidance Clinic for appropriate treatment.
Special School for Educationally Sub-Normal Pupils.
