Administration .
The year 1947 has been one of considerable difficulty in the
carrying out of the necessary dental treatment for mothers, infants
and school children in the area due to the very depleted dental
staff.
On 18th January a dental attendant was appointed in a
permanent capacity to replace one who had acted in a temporary
capacity during part of the war, and to work with Mr. Horton at
the Council's Health Centre at Leyton Green. On the day she
commenced duty, however, Mr. Horton was admitted to hospital
with an illness from which he did not recover sufficiently to resume
his duties, and was lost to the Council's Health Service. It was
