Orthopaedic Treatment.
Primary Examinations.—During the year 12 children were
referred from the Infant Welfare Clinics to the Council's Orthopaedic
Surgeon.
Re-examinations.—In addition to the 12 new cases mentioned
above, 24 children under five years of age attended for re-examination
by the Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Treatment.—Sixty-eight children made 484 attendances for
special treatment by the Council's Masseuse (Miss Findlay).
Provision of Surgical Appliances.—Forty-eight children
had minor alterations to boots and shoes and one child was
supplied with iron tunnel and T-straps to boot.
