INFANT WELFARE.
Notification of Births.— Fourteen hundred and twentythree
notifications of births were received during the year.
By medical practitioners 336

During the year under review, the total attendances at the
Council's Infant Welfare Centres were 13,575, an increase of 2,522
compared with the figure (11,053) for the previous year. The
number of children examined by the Clinic Medical Officers was
4,254 as compared with 3,758 examined during the previous year.
Health Visitors.
During the year the Health Visitors have made 16,088 visits
to homes, as follows:—
(а) To expectant mothers:—

(б) To children under 1 year of age:—

(c) To children between the ages of 1 and 5
