SCHOOL MEDICAL SERVICE.
GOVERNMENT EVACUATION SCHEME.
Estimated figures showing the present distribution (December, 1944) of these children are given below:—

(i) In National Camp at Itchingfield—as from April, 1940. (Central Schools, etc.) (Owing to decrease in numbers the Camp at Tilford was discontinued in May, 1943, and the children whose parents so desired were transferred to Itchingfield.) | 175 |

Normal (full-time) schooling, which was resumed in the Borough
on 15th July, 1940, has been maintained since that time.

Of 2,688 children who were examined in the code age-groups,
2,267 (or over 84 per cent.) were accompanied by their parents.

The number of special inspections during the year was 2,797
comparing with 3,874 during the previous year.
Re-inspections.
The number of re-inspections during 1944 was 6,212.
