INFANT WELFARE.

Notification of Births.—Thirteen hundred and Forty-one notifications of births were received during the year.

During the year under review, the total attendances at the
Council's Infant Welfare Centres were 14,864, an increase of 3,104
compared with the figure (11,760) for the previous year. The
number of children examined by the Clinic Medical Officers was
4,186 as compared with 3,631 examined during the previous year.

Health Visitors.

During the year the Health Visitors have made 17,422 visits to homes, as follows:—

(a) To expectant mothers:—
