INFANT WELFARE.

Notification of Births.—Twelve hundred and seventy-seven notifications of births were received during the year.

During the year under review, the total attendances at the
Council's Infant Welfare Centres were 11,760, an increase of 3,594
compared with the figure (8,106) for the previous year. The
number of children examined by the Clinic Medical Officers was
3,631 as compared with 2,627 examined during the previous year.

Health Visitors.

During the year the Health Visitors have made 15,217 visits to homes, as follows:—
