SCHOOL MEDICAL SERVICE.
Assuming a continuing decline in the school roll, an approximate roll as at 31st March, 1941, would be 11,500. Estimated figures showing the present distribution (December, 1941) of these children are given below :—
(a) In Leyton | 6,900 |
(i) In Essex (remaining from the September, 1939, evacuation) | 590 |
(ii) In two National Camps—as from April, 1940. (Central Schools) | 440 |
(iii) In West Country and Wales (5 counties), remaining from June, 1940, evacuation | 500 |

Normal (full-time) schooling which was resumed in the Borough
on 15th July, 1940, has been maintained throughout the year.
