INFANT WELFARE.
Notification of Births.—Seven hundred and sixty-two
notifications of births were received during the year.
By medical practitioners 181
By midwives 581
By parents and others -
During the year under review, the total attendances at the
Council's Infant Welfare Centres were 8,166, a decrease of 763
compared with the figure (8,929) for the previous year. The
number of children examined by the Clinic Medical Officers was
2,627 as compared with 2,927 examined during the previous year.
Health Visitors.
During the year the Health Visitors have made 15,575 visits
to homes, as fpllows :—
(a) To expectant mothers :—
