Mortality.
Of the 474 cases of measles reported in Ley ton during 1938, 5 (i.e., 1.05 per cent.) died. The following table shows the ages and places of death of these 5 fatal cases.

It will be seen from these figures that the 1938 epidemic of
measles was less widespread and milder in type than that of 1936.
TUBERCULOSIS.
Notifications .—One hundred and twenty-nine patients were notified for the first time in 1938 as suffering from tuberculosis. The number was made up as follows :—
