I have been greatly helped in this work by the invaluable advice
of Dr. Forrest and Dr. Henderson, and have made use of such
facilities as haemoglobin estimations and medicines. For special
investigations outside the scope of the Clinic I have transferred
special cases to hospital (temporarily).
It is, of course, too early to estimate the results of the work,
but I am convinced that many cases will improve and children
who might develop serious cardiac conditions may be prevented
from so doing.
Finally, may I express my thanks to the nursing staff for their
most active co-operation in this work.
