MEAT.
Slaughter-Houses.—-There are eight licensed slaughterhouses
in the Borough. Inspections of these slaughter-houses
have been made regularly.
Carcases and Viscera Inspected.—There are 2 Inspectors
on whole-time duty at the London Co-operative Society's Abattoir,
and the other slaughter-houses are visited regularly by the District
Sanitary Inspectors. The number of animals examined and the
amount of meat subsequently condemned gives some idea of the
able manner in which this work is done by the Inspectors concerned.
