Before the Clinic had been open one month the rush of applicants
for treatment was so great that appointments were being
made for as long ahead as five weeks. As a consequence of the
large waiting list the Council decided to engage a temporary female
chiropodist to enable the arrears to be cleared.
The following statistics for the year 1936 give an idea of the
amount of treatment carried out and a clear indication of the
popularity of the Clinic.
