regulating (a) the employment of children generally, and (b) street
trading by persons under the age of sixteen years, within the
Borough of Leyton were confirmed by H.M. Minister and put into
operation forthwith.
Since these Bye-laws came into operation, medical certificates have been granted as follows :—

PROVISION OF MEALS.
The provision of meals to children attending the elementary
schoo's is undertaken by the Education Authority under powers
granted by Sections 82-85 of the Education Act, 1921.
