Knotts Green Special School for Mental Defectives.

Seventeen children, certified to the Local Education Authority
as feeble-minded, were admitted to Knotts Green Special School
during the year and six children attending the Open Air School
were transferred to the School for Mental Defectives.
Of the 22 children whose names were removed from the roll,
10 reached the statutory leaving age of 16 years and were notified
to the Local Control Authority for supervision in accordance with
the Mental Deficiency (Notification of Children) Regulations ;
3 were allowed to leave on withdrawal of certificate of mental
deficiency, and 9 removed from the district.
