A motor ambulance for non-infectious cases has been supplied
by the Red Cross Society and is under the control of the Superintendent
of the Fire Brigade.

FOOD AND DRUGS ACT.
Through the courtesy of Mr. Card, Chief Inspector of the
Essex County Council, I am enabled to supply the following
details of the work undertaken during the year : Samples taken:
Milk, 161; butter, 86; miscellaneous, 64. Proceedings were taken
in one instance for adulterated milk which resulted in a fine of
£10 and 5s. costs. Other cases are pending.
